OCAI Community¶
OCAI's community is ruled by the European Space Agency (ESA) as "General Owner" and Terma as "Maintainer".
The OCAI representative of ESA is Evridiki Ntagiou.
The maintainers of OCAI can be reached through the COSMIC AI mailbox.
Community Roles and Responsibilities¶
The community Maintainers have the authority to:
- Appoint new developers
- Commit code to the develop (default) branch;
- Make any technical decisions concerning the architecture;
- Elaborate and supervise Community Processes;
- Approve or reject code changes and ensure that they meet the Community's Standards;
- Escalate technical issues to the community's General Owners (ESA);
The Community members (i.e., contributors) can:
- Manage the day-to-day activity of the community;
- Ensure the overall quality and stability of the community's software;
- Provide guidance to Developers and other members of the community;
- Management of the public and community websites.
Community's Code of Conduct¶
The OCAI Code of Conduct is designed to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all community members, ensuring that interactions are respectful, constructive, and focused on the community's shared goals. It sets expectations for behaviour.
Code of Conduct Guidelines¶
- Respect: Treat all members with respect, kindness, and politeness.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Foster an inclusive environment regardless of background, identity, or experience. Write with diversity and inclusion in mind.
- Constructive Feedback: Provide feedback that is constructive, aimed at improvement.
- Harassment Avoidance: Any form of harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks is strictly prohibited.
- Collaborative Mindset: Encourage collaboration and cooperation among community members.
- Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality of discussions or information deemed sensitive.
- Problem Reporting: Issues within the community should be promptly reported.
- Disruptive Behaviour Avoidance: Disruptive behaviour, including trolling, will not be tolerated. Community members are encouraged to ignore trolls and report such behaviour to the Maintainers for appropriate action.
Rights and Responsibilities¶
The OCAI community Maintainers are responsible for moderating contributions. They have the right to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other submissions that do not comply with this Code of Conduct. They will provide reasons for moderation decisions when appropriate.
